The material
The flower of the bitter orange tree. The same blossom gives neroli when distilled and orange blossom absolute when extracted with solvent — two quite different materials from one flower.
The smell
Clean, honeyed and green, sitting somewhere between citrus and white floral. Softer and more transparent than jasmine.
On skin
A heart note with unusual reach — it drifts. It is often what people notice when someone walks past.
